Umamin sina Finance Secretary Sonny Dominguez at Senador Sherwin Gatchalian na may naka-engkuwentro silang coronavirus positive.
Dahil dito, nagboluntaryong mag-self quarantine ang dalawang mataas na opisyal ng gobyerno na siyang ipinatutupad ng Department of Health.
Paliwanag ni Dominguez sa viber group sa mga Finance reporters may nakilala umano siya noong nakaraang Huwebes at Biyernes na natuklasang COVID-19 positive ngayong araw.
Ani Dominguez wala pa siyang nararamdamang sintomas.
Gayunman ay inisolate na nito ang sarili at nag-self quarantine. Sinabi naman ni Gatchalian na asymptomaric siya.
“I have recently been informed that a resource person who attended the hearing of the Committee on Basic Education, Arts and Culture last March 5, 2020, which I Chair, has tested positive for COVID-19.
Though I am asymptomatic and feel healthy, I will follow government set protocols on such cases and go into self-quarantine immediately given that I interacted with the said individual during that committee hearing.
I instructed all my staff to do the same especially those who had direct contact with the said person too,” bahagi ng statement ni Gatchalian.
