Belying DePEd’s denial, more teachers confirm house-to-house order for 100% enrollment

Following the Department of Education’s (DepEd) denial of the reports released by the Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) Philippines on teachers being compelled to scour communities for unenrolled learners in order to achieve a 100% enrollment rate, more public school teachers came out to confirm such alarming practice.

The group challenged DepEd to ‘sincerely engage’ with teachers and learners on the ground in order for the agency to craft programs and policies attuned to the realities of and responsive to the circumstances of its constituents, instead of drawing malice from teachers’ reports.
