ARTA LoGIC digital platform LGUs

Due to the present state of a public health emergency, the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) shifted to utilizing online platforms to assist government agencies in complying with the mandates of R.A. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service.

This move is made primarily during this ‘new normal’ in which government service should be more responsive to the public’s needs.

Today, ARTA partners with the Local Government Integrity Circles (LoGIC) Network to capacitate Local Government Units (LGUs) in complying with R.A. 11032.

In a webinar that will be hosted by the LoGIC Network via Facebook live, ARTA Director-General Jeremiah Belgica will be discussing the ARTA Package to the participating LGUs from Bohol and Guimaras.

In a nutshell, the ARTA package is a bundle of programs that aims to assist government agencies to be compliant with the provisions of R.A. 11032.

National government agencies and LGUs, particularly the Highly Urbanized Cities or HUCs, shall be the first recipients of this package under a Memorandum of Agreement between ARTA and a particular government agency.

A Compliance Officer from ARTA will also be discussing the guidelines for the Citizen’s Charter, the revised versions of which shall be submitted to ARTA not later than 25 July 2020.

The Citizen’s Charter of government agencies’ revision complies with Administrative Order 23, series of 2020 issued by the Office of the President.

The partnership between ARTA and the LoGIC Network was ratified on 12 February 2020.

Since then, the Compliance Monitoring and Evaluation Office of ARTA have been continuously coordinating with the LoGIC Network to pursue shared goals.

Apart from today’s webinar with the LoGIC Network, ARTA has also been holding its Webinar series titled “Doing Business with Ease in the New Normal” via its official Facebook page.

Last Friday, 3 July 2020, ARTA featured Pag-IBIG in its webinar in which Chief Executive Officer Acmad Rizaldy Moti presented their ongoing programs and initiatives.

Previously, ARTA had already featured the Food and Drug Administration initiatives, Land Transportation Office, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
